Today, I decided to strive for excellence, and I’m happy to report that I succeeded.
Hopefully you regard success as being dressed with clean hair, not like, being wealthy, or feeding your family with organic food.
We have spent many a day in the house with sickies recently.
Currently, germs are in check and moral is high, so we hit the slides at a local park. I was excited to meet a new mom that had promising mom-friend potential.
I hope my freshly shampooed hair was captivating, because our choppy conversing probably wasn’t:
“Oh really? You swim at our community pool often? Let’s YUCKY meet at the park DON’T PUT THAT RAISIN IN HIS EAR for lunch sometime THOSE AREN’T OUR PUFFS before naps.”
“My baby usually ARE YOU BLEEDING? YOU’RE FINE wears shoes, just didn’t put any on today. Haha!” (White lie.)
After a quick situation assessment, the person of interest had children that seemed nice, didn’t have a chronic runny noses, and no apparent pyro tendencies, which I’ve learned to be suspicious of in boys.
Unfortunately, they left while I was corralling one little guy from a trash can, and picking up another from enticingly fresh dog poop…is that a bad sign?
Maybe I should post this on Craigslist’s “missed connections.”
