Later in life, photos abbreviate every childhood. They’re the tangible bits of magic dust from a past life; a life of infinite possibilities, wonder, and tethered to nothing.
I have 24k photos on my phone for good measure. 🙂
We took family photos with Alison Brynn Photography on our recent
trip to California, and I absolutely adore them, albeit the double chin situations, but Ali was exceptional given the subjects! All within about thirty minutes. In and out, just our style, regarding both time and burgers.
This particular beach is one of my very favorites, but it’s a bit tricky to get to. The tide is also a bit tricky. (How to California photographers balance sunset time, traffic travel time, tide, and lighting?)
My very favorites are the last few with G. While Brian and Roscoe were getting ready to leave, Ali caught a little moment that defines Gus right this second-a fellow beach loving, water obsessed, spontaneous, caution to the wind, FUN (and fast, ha) little dude. Gus truly makes everything fun with his easy enthusiasm and laid back nature. I can see myself looking at these photos of my babies with their tired parents in thirty years, with a smile and watery eyes.
